I've heard about substantial beach erosion in Mirlo but that the erosion wasn't so bad in some areas. Taking the family to a house on the soundside of hwy 12 and hoped that there would be acutal beach for the kiddos to play on at the oceanside.The north end of Rodanthe, the Mirlo Beach subdivision, is subject to regular ocean inundation.
